The installation was presented in a shop that was once a boutique of Telimena, one of the first Polish fashion brands. Widely popular in the times of People's Republic of Poland, Telimena was regarded as modern and pioneering in many respects thanks to its mass-produced yet high-quality designs. Today, the brand has nothing in common with these old traditions and specializes in production of corporate clothing and uniforms for police and other public services. What was once progressive and inspiring now serves as an extension of mainstream political and systemic structures.
Ten phrases, such as “norms”, “safety”, “favorable opinions”, “aesthetic look”, “trustworthy textiles”, and “measure of success”, were chosen from the company’s current website and embroidered on a series of T-shirts.
